This 4-award-winning novel took 18 years to write, inspired by stories and personal experiences living in East Africa.  It spans 2 decades of sporadic genocides, Idi Amin's and Obote's in the 1970s and the Rwandan genocide of 1994 with its subsequent incursions spilling over into Uganda. 
It follows 4 well-meaning Christians who are all 'on a mission' but caught up in the web of Judging Others -- either causing harm by doing so, or suffering the consequences. 
​Mixed-heritage Stephen O'Connell is kicked out of Bible College for asking too many questions, and embarks on a life of service overseas.  Through the ongoing passion suffered by godly Ugandans, he too is traumatized by loss -- and must find enough hope and courage to land on a better side of Eternity.
